I am buying a piece of sterling silver jewelry which contains a crystal that is made out of easycast clear epoxy, i want to oxidize the piece of jewelry but not if it will affect the look of the epoxy crystal. Has anyone experimented with anything like this or knows how it will affect the epoxy? Thanks in advance!!!

Hmm. This is a good question! Are you thinking about using Liver of Sulfur? I would be interested in knowing the results too.

Otherwise, here’s what I would try:

1. Use a paintbrush to apply the oxidizing agent
2. Coat the crystal with something like wax or tape to keep the oxidizing agent off of it.
