I have a double-glazed door-insert for an exterior door. I’m looking at upgrading that to one with integrated blinds, meaning I’ll have the spare double-glaze. What I’m considering is using that double-pane on my exterior garage door, and putting epoxy between the panes for security reasons in order to make it shatterproof – maybe with one of those privacy window films on the inside. How viable might this concept be?

      Hi Jason,

While the resin will stick to the glass, I’m afraid this isn’t a good idea. As the resin and glass heat up with the weather elements, they expand and contract at different rates. At some point, the glass will crack.

Thank you, I had a hunch that would be the case.
