Final coat for polished resin and wood: thin epoxy or something else?

When you have your resin polished to the desired stage and are ready to finish it to make it perfectly clear, my understanding is that another thin coat of epoxy works well. What else can work, though? For wood and epoxy I would like to use something warmer and thinner than resin for the wood parts, yet still get the transparency in the resin. Would an oil poly or other finish also work to make the resin become transparent?

      Thanks, Matt.

      Hi Matt,

I haven’t tried oil or a polyurethane finish on wood and resin projects. The thin layer of resin tends to work best for me.
