      Hi All
I am hoping the knowledgeable people on here may be able to help me, I am trying to create a cracked or fractured resin sphere around 100mm in circumference, after much searching on the net, I have found such objects, but no information how to create them, other than mixing too much hardener into the mix to create an exothermic reaction? or possibly passing an electric current through the mix whilst still liquid, does anyone know how to really do this this? or perhaps point me in the right direction of the correct resources?

Many thanks, for any help that can be given

      Keith.

      Hi Keith,

Mixing your resin so it gets too hot is what I would do. This article explains more: https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-resin-resin/why-is-my-resin-hot-reasons-for-hot-resin-resin-getting-hot/

      Hi Katherine
Thanks so much for your reply, do you think that placing the mold in say ice cold water once it has started to solidify, would also further enhance the ‘cracking / fracturing’ process?

      Thanks

      Keith.
