I would like to make a beach scene pendant.  My concept is to have a sandy look on the bottom (as it is worn) with blue sky above. I would add shell inclusions and a clear doming layer. Is it possible to divide the first pour in a rectangular pendant mold to get blue on one half and sand on the other? Can I pour one color and "dam" up the mold somehow, let it cure and then pour the other side?

      Thanks so much,

      Hi Carol,

What you describe is going to be difficult to do in a horizontal mold.  If you try damming it up, you will need to use tape, otherwise, the resin will leak.  Here are other ideas to try.1.  Create some kind of clip art to serve as your ocean themed background.2.  Cast the two pieces separately, then cast them together in the mold.3.  Use something like our glass glitters to recreate your beach scene:  https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/colorants/products/ice-glass-glitter  They are relatively heavy and will sink the resin.

      Good luck!
