      Hey all!

For the longest time Ive been trying to figure out how I can put resin on lockets. The lockets Im finding do not have a flat surface, however Ive seen other lockets with a curved top that have resin on them, so Im wondering how it can be done.
If the surface is not flat, wont the resin run down the sides of the locket?
An idea I had was to make a mold of the locket, put the resin at the bottom of the mold and then but my locket on top, so Im kind of doing it upside down. Will that work?
      Thanks ahead for the help!

      Anne,

Do you have a picture of what youre trying to create?

Yes, in general, the resin is going to run down the side of your locket.  You would need to try a resin that has a thick surface tension.

Could you maybe put a piece of thick tape (like a packaging tape) around the edge to create sort of a bezel?  And then peal the tape off once its fully cured?  You could then sand the edges to be rounded and tapered to the edge.
