I’m new to working with resin but want to combine it with silver. According to my research, you can’t combine silver with resin without the result discoloring over time.

I’m assuming you folks will have a solution to this? If I’m working with a sterling silver bezel cup, would a simple coating of mod podge over the silver prior to pouring the resin work?

      Look forward to your replies!

Hi Claire, what kind of discoloration are you referring to? I have done lots of resin and silver pieces and have not had a problem with silver covered with resin changing color. Silver exposed to air, and not covered with resin, will tarnish. To avoid that, I like coating my resin and silver pieces with a light layer of Renaissance wax, which is available from woodworking supply outlets.
