I’m making myself a resin ring with red Georgia clay powder mixed in. I’m using ETI clear cast polyester resin. When I measured out my resin to catalyst, I forgot to take into account the clay powder. My ring mold has been filled since 2:30pm EST (it’s now 8:30pm) and the resin has only gelled up. Is my casting ruined, or can I use a heat gun to harden it? P.S. I forgot about the stench of polyresin! Thanks.

Hi Tom, it sounds like you may not have used enough catalyst. Polyester resin heats up quickly. It doesn’t sound like it’s going to harden.
