Sometimes I need to polish my finished work. I have been following directions provided by countless others: Sand with wet/dry sandpaper, starting in the 200s and increasing to the 3000s. Use a buffing compound. Then use a polishing compound. I’ve tried these steps exactly. I’ve tweaked the sanding steps. I’ve left out the buffing compound. I’ve tried several polishing compounds that were recommended by content creators. Yet, I can never achieve the polished look. I’ve recently switched resin brands, and hoped my outcome would be different, but no joy. What am I doing wrong?
