Hey there,

I’m looking to mod my car headlights with a few LED strips, however I dislike how you can see the individual LED’s. So I’d like to build some sort of diffuser for the LED’s and I’ve been looking at making a smoked resin piece that would sit over the LED strips, how would I go about making a curved mold, has something similar been attempted before? Thanks in advance

Hi, you can do this in one of two ways:

1. Make a two part mold.
2. Make a mold all in one pour, but cut down the sides (to get out the model and subsequent castings).

Whichever way you choose, you will need to cast the original model vertically. If you don’t have an original model, I would suggest having one 3D printed.
