I would like to find or create a mold for making cell phone covers out of Resin. The biggest issue is that it the two pieces would have to fit together perfectly. I tried to create one out of silicone using an existing cell phone case, but when the mold was used the two resin pieces did not snap together. Do you have suggestions or a source for a pre-made cell phone case mold?

Have you thought about purchasing a blank case and embellishing it with resin? I’ve done that with flowers:

I haven’t tried a blank case. I was worried the resin would separate from the case. Did you have any issues with separation? Was your blank case plastic?

Resin adhered to the case fine. It was a blank plastic case. You may want to wash it with soap and water thoroughly first if you are worried the resin may not stick (like if it’s greasy or waxy).
