I painted a thin coat on a wood chalice I made. It remains sticky and won’t cure, but the resin in the cup I poured it in after mixing it is solid as a rock.
I weighed the cups before adding the resin and made sure they weighed the exact same (kitchen digital scale, accurate to the ml.) I mixed and applied the epoxy in my house at 73 degrees.

Oh, if it helps, the wood is basswood.

What can I do? I need the cups finished by tomorrow night.

      Thanks.

      Hi Curt,

My first thought is that the resin was poured in too thin a layer to cure. When resin is spread out too thinly, there isn’t enough heat generated to make it solid.
