I have been using the base of aluminium drink cans for molds and forgot to oil one. Now it is stuck in the mold. Any help to get it out? Thank you in advance for any advice.

Hi Stacey, I’m afraid resin sticks to metal very well. I’m not hopeful you can get it out. You can try putting it in the freezer for 10 minutes. After taking it out, try slapping your can on a hard surface. With any luck, the casting will pop out. Otherwise, you can try soaking it in some acetone, but I would only try that as a last resort.
