I have read that epoxy resin is better to use for smaller objects, and I enjoy using it in jewelry pieces. I will have to use it rather than the polyester resins as winter comes on. Quesition is: If I want to use epoxy resin for a larger object, will it work if I pour it in layers from 1/4" to 3/8" thick? Letting it cure between layers? I"m thinking of the smaller pieces that people use for paperweights, like pyramids, domes and muffin sized pieces. Im also using inclusions of stone, and shells. Thanks for any info!

      Hi Luci,

That should be fine.  You only have to let it partially cure as well before pouring the next layer.
