Resinista Lynnette Olnhausen

Lynette Olnhausen

Hi there! My name is Lynnette and I’ve been interested in art and crafting since I can remember. I don’t tend to stick with one thing when it comes to art; I love to experiment and try new things. This, of course, leads to me to have quite the backlog of projects, but at least I’ll never be bored! I’ve dabbled in painting, sculpting, beading, sewing, digital art, and, of course, resin!

I started using resin a few years ago, after seeing Riusuke Fukahori’s work and video, Goldfish Salvation. I was fascinated by the process by which he used layers to create realistic goldfish. My first pieces using resin were, of course, layered fish paintings, but eventually turned into more varied projects as I realized the versatility of resin.

I currently work as a School Psychologist, where I help to determine students’ eligibility for special education services and make sure their needs are being serviced. Lucky for me, I get summers off for even more crafting! I am married and have three dogs: Loki, Anubis, and Hypnos.
