My husband found a dying black widow spider that I want to put into a necklace. I have it preserving in alcohol. I have tried preserving tomato hornworms, and in my experience they tend to leak their insides into the resin as it heats AND after about a week, they begin to decay and peel away from the resin. How do I prevent this with my black widow spider? Someone told me to try boiling it for a few seconds; has anyone tried that? I have also been told to inject alcohol into the joints and abdomen with a hypodermic needle; any experience with that method? I want this to be perfect, as it is a gift.
THanks in advance for any advice or tips and tricks!

      Hi Ronnie,

We have a discussion about how to do this here: https://www.resinobsession.com/forums/topic/help-embedding-a-spider/
