How to make artwork resin level and how to fix when it’s not

I tried artwork resin on a mosaic table today. It looks pretty good but when I look up close I see a couple uneven bumps. My first question is why this happened? (I was trying to skimp on resin and I almost wonder if somehow I used too little and that somehow created the problem?)

The next question is can I add another layer of the same self leveling artwork resin and assuming I can fix whatever I did wrong the first time, should this next layer level out and look even?

      Hi Tricia,

I’m sorry your table didn’t come out as you were hoping. Did you use a level to make sure the table was even? I always use one to check my surface to make sure it is level.

Not using enough resin will do that too. There are other ideas in this article: https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-art/why-are-there-dents-and-holes-in-my-resin-painting/

Yes, another layer of resin should fix it, but there are a few caveats. This article explains what you need to check first:
