      Hi everyone,

I would like to cover on all sides a layer of silicone, specifically platsil gel 25, with some epoxy resin. I never used resins before.
I was thinking of making a base layer of resin on the bottom, let it harden, then lay the silicone slice on top and cover it with resin. Ideally the resin that is already hardened on the bottom part should become one with the resin I add later, is that feasible? Which resins should I use?

      Hi Valerio,

Epoxy isn’t going to stick to the silicone as a permanent solution.

That’s ok because the idea is to completely surround the silicone and “trap” it into the resin

      Hi Valerio,

Any resin should work for this then.

What is the size of your mold? I’m happy to make a specific recommendation.

      Hello,

My name is Jocelyn and I am new to the Epoxy Resin World. I would like to know A. Is there a company that sells mixed Epoxy/Resin by the gallon? B. If not, Can you recommend Epoxy/ Resin company that is used for platters, coasters, tumblers? things of this nature. I am at a loss with the one that was previously bought for me in the past.

      Thank you soo much
      Jocelyn Harris
