Epoxy Notebook Cover with Photo

Every notebook I’ve done so far has been a nightmare, but I want to try again using a photo on photo paper. Should I use glossy paper or is the epoxy glossy enough? Do I need to seal it first? Seal the edges? Thank you so much!
